A Crazy Little Thing Called Love

Share

Nobody prepares us for love.
And maybe nobody can.
But we can go beyond the illusion.
Beyond what Hollywood and the media portrays love to be.
Beyond the myths we’re fed about love.

Because love is messy. It creates upheaval.
It shatters us. And it’s beautiful, when we go beyond the labels it’s beautiful.
And it fucking hurts!

We never know when it’s coming, or where from, or in what form.
We love those we ‘never should’.
Then we try and explain it, understand it, label it, box it. And judge it.
And the more we do that, the less we understand it.
We can be with it. Nothing else.
And the more present we are with it, the greater its intensity. The pain and the pleasure.
And then we see they’re simply our emotions. They’re not good or bad. They both have gifts for us. And we can only see these when we go beyond negative and positive.
Being present is being in the moment.
Being in Love, not the falling in love story.
But In Love. Not as a doing, but a state of being. And the gift is the gratitude of loving, if being able to love.

From that space we’re willing to walk through that fire of love again and again. We’re willing to be burned to the quick, to the core, to the essence. For each time, more of ourselves is revealed. And that’s the journey, healing, learning, growing, releasing, revealing. Being.
Being In Love.
In the madness, in the storm.

Hard love, messy love.
Beyond me, beyond you. We become vehicles for love to express itself.
Beyond the safe veneer of civilised love. We become vehicles for love to roam free.

A crazy little, a crazy huge thing, called love.
