I’m sitting here on a chilly Saturday in Johannesburg, contemplating writing a piece for my newsletter, and to share with you.
In a few weeks I’m sharing my Sensual Massage Workshop, A Lover’s Touch, as well the YoniLingam Massage.
I’ve shared a lot about touch recently, what it does, why it’s vital for us, why we need it, the philosophy of touch…
I started writing about all the benefits, what the workshop will give you, what you’ll get from it, all of that…
And that’s important, maybe you’ll read that and it’ll be the thing, a thing, that’ll get you to the workshop. Maybe something will click, you’ll read something and say yes. Maybe your partner will nag you enough, maybe you’ll see what’s lacking in your relationship, in your sexual skills, maybe you’ll see what could be…
Then something came to awareness.
Why is it important to me?
It’s what I do, how I earn my living, and as I write that and look at the struggle the past years has been, it’s a challenging statement.
It’s also been a year of possibly the deepest healing, growth, release, learning, awareness, loss…
So why is it important to me?
Over the years, more than 25, of doing this work, I’ve seen what’s inside of us, who we are, what we can feel, the emotion, the energy, the sensation, the feeling, the heart, the love, the intimacy.
I’ve written a lot about how most of us don’t come close to the pleasure, and all that goes with it, that we’re capable of.
And I’ve also seen how that changes when we allow it, when we do what it takes to make that happen, to have those experiences.
I’ve seen what happens at the end of the day of this workshop.
I’ve seen what happens between couples, even strangers, the feeling, the intimacy, the connection. The openness of hearts.
And the healing, the release that comes from that alone. I’ve seen how that’s changed relationships. And I’ve seen, over time, when people use what they’ve learned, how intimacy deepens and expands, and how that impacts on every part of life.
I’ve seen what people learn about themselves, what a teacher, way-shower, guide, personal mirror, this is.
It shows us where we give, how we give, what’s the intention we bring, where inside of us we come from. And how this expresses itself in all of our sexuality. And how, what we can learn from this, helps us have so much more pleasure, sex, sensuality, and how much more fulfilling it is.
I’ve seen how learning the skill of sensual touch, which in time becomes an art, opens, expands, deepens us.
Deepens what’s between us.
I’ve seen how we learn about the conversation, the language of touch, and what it communicates, when we learn about the quality of touch.
And so much more…
Why it’s important is this body, this heart, is made to feel.
It’s made to feel sensation, energy, emotion, that takes us to places of exquisiteness.
It takes us to places of intimacy where we know, in a way beyond words, what love is.
It takes us deep, it takes us high, it takes us
Why it’s important, and people come to these workshops for so many reasons, from so many different places, levels.
Looking for healing, for excitement, curiosity, looking for connection, to be better lovers, find connection, playmates, connect with like-minded people, be in a sensual space, be in an open erotic space…
And for me, and this year has really brought this home for me.
There is a transformational power of conscious touch that changes, heals so much in us, in a way that we don’t fully understand, and we see all the time.
There is, in this space, and its continued expression, the tools to transform and heal relationships.
There is the art and skill that helps us give our partners and lovers experiences that are so far above the patterned, conditioned, average that so many experience, which we all know becomes boring, dull, repetitive, empty…
And then, and this is it for me…
It becomes something spiritual.
It becomes a path of worship, of feeling, seeing, experiencing the sacred through touch.
It becomes a path of intimacy that touches something inside of us that we know is Divine.
A while ago after a retreat I ran, a coach I deeply respect was there, said that I was really teaching spirituality, through sensuality.
This is why it’s important for me.
And wherever you come from, whether you’re dipping a toe into the water for the first time, whether it’s just about the body, the pleasure, whether it’s about coming closer as a couple, whether you’re there to learn more pleasure skills, or you’re there for the depth, there’s a place for you.
And I look forward to sharing with you.
