Loving Ourselves

Is it easier to love another than to love ourselves?

It seems to be natural to love another person, and yet it doesn’t seem to be natural to love ourselves?

Or has it been that we’re so conditioned not to? That the impact of us loving ourselves is too great for our society to bear?

Is it that loving ourselves requires too much from us?

And maybe more than anything else it requires us to make choices?

Not only choices about what we want to, when we want to, how we want to, although many people think that’s what loving ourselves is?

Maybe it’s making some really big choices about the way we’d like to live, the way we’d like to have relationships, the way we’d like to experience pleasure, the way we’d like to connect to spirit, the way we’d like to see our world?

Maybe it’s choosing to create our lives?

And maybe we’re not ready to love ourselves that much?

And maybe we can see that it starts with us healing ourselves?

Maybe it starts with us becoming more conscious, more awake?

Maybe it starts with us choosing to live with greater meaning?

Maybe it starts with us choosing to live with greater pleasure?

Maybe…

In the realm of possibility…
