THE BEAUTIFUL TOUCH OF MEDITATION

Share

We touch for many reasons, conscious and subconscious.

We also touch consciously and subconsciously, which is important in the world of touch.

I have been doing, exploring and teaching touch for over 30 yrs. In this time I’ve come to see how wide the world of touch is, how many pathways it has, and how much it has to offer us, in so many ways.

We touch for connection and intimacy.

We touch for sex.

We touch for pleasure.

We touch for healing.

We touch for soothing and comfort.

We touch for reassurance.

We touch for acknowledgement.

And more…

Then there’s something else.

Something very different.

To touch for meditation.

To touch as meditation.

There are so many ways to touch.

So many intentions we can bring and express.

There are so many ways to meditate.

The body is one of these.

Touch as meditation.

The intention of touch as meditation, the practice of touch as meditation is that the body, the touch, offers us a way in to ourselves.

A way into deep places within us.

Quiet places.

Still places.

Places of both presence and transcendence.

Touch in this way is different to so much else.

It’s not giving or receiving.

It’s not performative, not about a goal, not about making anything happen, not about going anywhere.

It’s about being present in the touch, so present in the sensation, in the feeling, in the movement.

Then allowing that to take us inside of ourselves.

Slowly, gently.

There’s a quality in this touch, hands on a body, the connection, the movement that is slow, very slow, gentle, very gentle.

Your body becomes the field of my meditation.

And in this something amazing happens, in this touch.

It offers you my presence, and even though I touch to meditate, in this touch of presence, so much happens for you.

In this touch of presence there is healing, comfort, intimacy, reassurance and more, much more.

There is love in this touch of meditation.

This is a very different experience and expression of touch, this touch as meditation.

I’ve been practicing it, teaching it for a long time. It’s an experience of such depth, such beauty, such intimacy, both within and with those we share it with.

It offers a different, an expanded perspective on touch, meditation and connection.

If you’d like to explore this, send a message, we’ll talk.
