Today on the sexual calendar is one of my favourites.
It’s Shower With A Friend Day.
And I’ve expanded this to one of my favourite things, Bath With A Friend.
And then I’ve expanded it even more into a ritual that is deeply sensual, erotic, intimate and pleasurable.
I love bathing with someone, for me it’s a time of sharing, of intimacy, even if we’re just sitting in the bath talking.
And touch, caress, in the bath, is so sensual, soft.
And when we bring the element of ritual in, it deepens the experience, takes it to another dimension.
This is such a beautiful experience to give as well as to receive.
I had an opportunity a while ago to do this for someone, and by way of sharing it I hope you might enjoy it.
It’s an indulgent experience, it gives you an opportunity to be creative, to touch, to connect, to be present, to play, to experience pleasure…
I began by creating the bath.
Warm water, rose petals, foam bath, candles, music.
I did the same in the bedroom, and had a tray of snacks for afterwards.
I brought her into the bathroom and undressed her, softly caressing each part of her body as it was revealed.
I helped her into the bath, and as she lay in the water I told her how beautiful she was. I shared some erotic words with her.
I began to wash her, touching every part of her body, from her toes, all the way up her body.
Each stroke, each touch, slow, some firm, some gentle, some arousing. Taking time.
Savouring the moment.
After a while I helped her out of the bath, slowly dried her, as sensually as I’d washed her, taking time.
Slowly I put lotion on her body in a lingering caress.
Then I asked her what she’d like, a pleasure experience in whatever way, conversation, to sleep…
On one hand, as with so many experiences, simple.
On the other, so much in it when we spend time, when we’re present, when we’re willing to show, to share love and intimacy, to be vulnerable and open.
And as I shared doing this with a woman, it’s just as sensual, erotic and loving for a man.
