I’ve been doing, and teaching De-armouring for a long time.
Yoni and Lingam, the breasts, the body.
My approach, and practice, has always been soft, slow, gentle.
Tissue that holds emotions.
Tissue that holds hurt.
Tissue that holds pain.
Tissue that holds contraction.
Tissue that holds tension.
Tissue that holds blockage
Tissue that holds energy.
Tissue that holds the past.
Tissue that is numb.
Tissue that is tender.
Tissue that is painful.
Tissue that has become disconnected.
The soft, the slow, the gentle invites the body to let go, to release, to open.
In the way it needs.
In the time it needs.
There’s no force.
There’s no pressure.
The soft, the slow, the gentle invites the body to be met where it is.
In this meeting, the touch holds the skin, holds what’s beneath the skin, with patience, with tenderness.
And in this, opens the allowing of the body to move that which it holds.
Sometimes has held for so long.
What I’ve seen, what I’ve learned.
When there’s been pain, we contract.
That’s our natural reaction.
We don’t always, more than not, release that contraction.
It stays in the body.
The next time something similar, that’s all it needs to be, just similar, happens, we contract again.
Until that becomes the pattern held in the body.
And every time we’re in a similar situation, a similar experience.
When even the thought of it is there, the tension, the contraction, comes to the fore.
There’s a saying, our biology is our biography.
What’s happened to me, what I’ve done, what’s been done to me, is in my body.
In my cells, in my tissues, in my muscles, my joints…
It sits there as tightness, blockage, inhibition, contraction…
It sits there as energy that has become stagnant.
It needs to flow, just as a river flows, as the wind blows, as the tides rise and fall, as the earth settles itself.
And in the movement, it releases, relaxes, let’s go, softens.
Our bodies read intention.
When we’re approached with softness, when we’re approached slowly, we open to that.
The gentleness is the invitation.
Our nervous system, our tissues, can, in the way they most need, allow what’s blocked to begin to flow.
And as it flows, it clears what was held there.
The inner channels open.
Tissue that was numb, tender, painful, becomes awake, sensitive, alive.
Sensation deepens.
Feelings move.
Emotion dances.
The gentle touch, the slow touch invites resistance to dissolve.
Invites the wisdom of the body to be the guide.
Knows that the body knows how.
And in the softness, welcomes the body, the being, into a new expression of awareness.
Come and experience, come and learn, I invite you…
Softly, gently, slowly…
