THE SUBLIME ART OF FINGER *******

Share

One of my favourite authors, Tom Robbins, passed away recently.

One of my favourite quotes of his, from Even Cowgirls Get The Blues, ‘ Finger F****ing is an art, men indulge in it, women excel at it.’

So…a little homage to a man who’s books gave me so much.

Something a little different.

Let’s leave the Tantra out, let’s leave the spirituality out.

We’ll leave the Consciousness in, because we’re talking about art.

I’ve never really liked the term ‘finger f***ing’, much, but I love the idea of the experience as art.

And if we’re willing to learn a few things, shift a few perspectives, expand ourselves, we can elevate this from an indulgence, a stop along the way to something else, to the experience of art.

‘The experience of art is a multifaceted and deeply personal journey, involving the artist’s creation and the viewer’s interpretation, often drawing on shared human experiences and emotions to create meaning and connection.’

That’s from AI, and oh, does it fit this experience.

Imagine that your fingers, your hands, are brushes, paint brushes that are alive.

Every touch, every movement, every stroke, every caress, is painting a sensation, painting a feeling.

You’re the artist, your fingers are brushes, the canvas is her body.

And you are creating the experience of art.

A deeply personal art, filled with meaning, that comes from connection.

The experience begins with a connection, the connection between the artist and the canvas, her body, her pu**y.

Look with the eyes of an artist, take in her lips, her folds. Look with the eyes of wonder.

Look at the incredible beauty of the art of woman.

Remember the idea of your hands as brushes.

Feel the tips of your fingers as soft bristles, and begin to touch with that softness.

Slowly, so slowly.

Explore the texture of her skin, feel the brush of your fingers awakening sensation.

Art takes time.

Breathe into the sensation.

Breathe into being an artist.

An artist of pleasure.

To create the art of deep pleasure takes time.

The preparation of the canvas takes at least 35 – 40 minutes.

Think about how brushes move, how they swirl, how they stroke.

They’re not rigid, they’re not stiff.

Each stroke is awakening, enlivening, softening, opening.

And remember to pause.

Take a breath.

The picture emerges when we pause, it comes into view, in feeling, in energy.

As much as an artist sees, he feels.

Think about how delicate the skin you’re touching is.

Think about the art you’re creating on this skin.

Think about taking time for this picture to develop, to emerge.

Think about this, because this is important.

This kind of art doesn’t always have an ending.

It’s a creation that has meaning, and the meaning is in the moment.

The meaning is in the experience, not in the ending.

When we allow it, the meaning spreads through the whole body, the body becomes the meaning, the meaning is in the sensation, in the feeling, in the energy.

To create art takes time, takes practice, takes care.

It takes a dedication to the art, for the sake of the art.

Not the outcome, not the achievement.

It’s about the experience of creation, that happens in the connection.

We can all be artists of pleasure, and elevate and expand our experiences of pleasure, deeply.
