‘What is it that sets Jonti apart from all the other teachers of Tantra and conscious sexuality?
Over the past decade I’ve attended probably close to a hundred workshops and webinars and seminars and training sessions on Tantra and conscious sexuality, presented by many gifted teachers, from all over the world. Looking back on my experiences, I can honestly say that the workshops presented by Jonti Searll have been in a class of their own. So what is it that makes Jonti’s offerings so special?
Jonti is an excellent and intuitive teacher, with a deep well of knowledge, experience, maturity and wisdom. He creates a completely contained, loving, authentic and intimate space in which participants feel safe enough to dive really deep. His teaching is filled with humour and heart and he really meets the participants at their level and gently guides them into their own growth and expansion. He is deeply present to what is happening, both in the group dynamic, and also with each individual in the group.
But none of these attributes, as amazing as they are, are what truly make Jonti unique.
I am reminded of the words of the ancient Taoist philosopher, Lao Tzu, who said that when the best leader’s work is done, the people will say, “We did it ourselves”. And this is Jonti’s greatest gift… to call forth, from each and every participant, the kindest, wisest, most authentic, and most evolved version of themselves, in order to co-create the most incredibly supportive, vulnerable, intimate spaces of connection. Spaces in which we can each connect with our own inner Divine. Spaces in which we can gently, and oh so tenderly, walk each other home.’
This week we begin a series of workshops in Ireland.
I’ve called these The Body of Possibility, Awakening.
Our bodies are just this, a field of possibility.
Limitless possibility.
I think it was Caroline Myss who said that our biology is our biography.
This body is the story of our lives.
It holds our hurts and pains, our rejections and abandonment.
It holds our contractions, our withdrawals, our tears.
It also holds our pleasures and desires.
It holds our intimacy and connection.
It holds our love, oh, does it hold our love.
As much as the body holds the past, it is also the pathway to the present, and the future.
We change the story in the body.
We release the past in the body.
We let go in the body.
We heal in the body.
We open in the body.
We become present in the body.
We connect with the heart in the body.
We flow energy in the body.
We come home to ourselves in the body.
For many of us the story of sexuality, of pleasure, has been a challenging, painful, shameful, repressed, guilty, inhibited, lonely, rejected, fearful story.
This sits inside of us.
In our tissues.
In the tissues of our genitals.
It’s hardness disconnects us, from ourselves, from others.
It disconnects us from our hearts.
It disconnects us from the depths, the heights, the expanse of pleasure, of sensation, of feeling.
The Body of Possibility is where we change the story.
It’s where we write our story.
A story of freedom and exploration.
A story of discovery and curiosity.
A story of adventure and love.
A story of journeys within and outwards.
A story of questions and conversations.
A story of feelings and emotions.
A story of intimacy and connection.
A story of creativity and vitality.
A story of excitement and energy.
We write our story.
A story we have of the desire to experience life and love, to express ourselves in our sensuality, our sexuality, our pleasure, our love, in all the ways we’d like to.
It’s within us, this story of possibility.
It’s always been there, waiting for us to find it with ourselves.
Find it in our bodies, find it in our hearts.
We find it in touch, we find it in our breath, we find it in our movement, we find it in our voice, in our eyes, in our senses.
It’s our own story, and it’s a shared story.
And as we’ve done for so long, when we gather together to share our story, we see how connected we are.
We see the power of community in accepting us, we see how we don’t have to walk this path alone.
We feel the hearts, the touch, of others, as we free ourselves, together.
We draw from each other, we give to each other.
We hold each other, in tenderness, in awareness, in love, to write this new story.
All of this is awakening.
Awakening to pleasure, to sexuality, to sensuality.
To our own hearts, our own bodies.
Awakening to the Divine Pleasure within us.
Awakening the Body of Possibility.
