THIS WHOLE BEAUTIFUL BODY

Share
We sometimes forget how amazing, how beautiful, how mysterious, how wonder-full the whole of the body is.
This body of ours, from the tip of our fingers to our toes to the top of our heads is an endless word to discover, explore and experience.
A while ago, and it’s not a new thing to hear, a woman doing a healing journey said to me that all her partner seems to want is her Yoni. A kiss, maybe a minute or two of touching her breasts and then…
This is something I’ve heard so often over the years.
It’s not even about foreplay.
It’s actually about making love, seeing the Divine in every part of this beautiful being that we are.
There’s something I teach, a progression that goes from curiosity, to interest, to fascination, to wonder.
Wonder is where we’re in awe, where we see the Divine.
In our lover’s hands, their ears, their feet, the curve of their neck.
It’s about being conscious in our senses, so present that what we see of their body, what we smell, what we taste, what we touch, is entrancing, enchanting.
It becomes a world, our world.
Nothing else in that moment exists other than your skin, your curves, your breath, your sigh, your…
There’s worship in this.
The adoration of your body, all of your body, is an endless exploration.
As we see more, as more is revealed, we understand that this landscape, curves, valleys, plains, creases, rounds, rises, mounds, has details for us to discover over a lifetime.
This is what making love is.
It’s not just our genitals inside of each other, it’s not just an orgasm, an ejaculation.
It’s all of us, all of me, all of you.
There’s a practice I teach that can give you a way to begin this exploration.
Take a few breaths into your Heart Centre, breathe into your body.
Allow each breath to slow you down, to bring you into presence, with yourself, with your lover.
Hold your lover’s hand in yours and look at it.
Let your eyes travel, slowly, so skwooy, that you see everything, from their thumb, between each finger, over the next, down the side of their hand to their wrist, across their palm, the back of their hand.
Look, really look, at every crease, every bump.
Bring their hand to your nose, breathe their scent into you, deep into you. Close your eyes, inhale.
Taste their skin, taste each finger, lick, suck, bite the mound of their thumb.
Hold their hand in yours, feel the texture, the temperature, touch every part of their hand, as if your fingers are reading theirs.
Disappear into your lover’s hand.
See the world that is there.
That’s making love.
And know that you can do this on your own, make love with yourself. It takes Self-Pleasuring to a new world of possibilities.
As beautiful, as mysterious, as magnetic as our genitals are, so is the whole of our body.
There’s an acknowledging in this practice, an awareness of the fullness of ourselves and each other that expresses the sacred of our sensual being.
