A while ago a guy messaged me about wanting to learn sensual massage, but without anything about energy, about philosophy, about emotion.
He used the words Yoni and Lingam Massage, which are expressions of so much more than just genitals.
This is an incredibly limited perspective on sensual massage, on pleasure, on who we are, how we are, how we are in touch, what sensual massage does to us, and what happens in these experiences.
If we’re talking about sensuality, pleasure, and sexuality, because for many of us the idea of sensual massage actually means something that goes to genital touch, and orgasm.
If we’re talking about this, we can’t not talk about energy, feeling, emotion.
We can’t not talk about the connection between the body and the heart, which is energy and emotion.
We can’t not talk about how energy moves in the body.
We can’t not talk about what happens in orgasm, or orgasm not happening, without talking about energy and emotion.
If we’re talking about sensuality and touch, we can’t not talk about what happens in touch.
We can’t not talk about vulnerability, giving, receiving, which are energy and emotion.
We can’t not go into this space, these experiences, without a framework, a philosophy of what we’re doing.
We can’t not have an understanding of what presence is, what happens when it’s not there. Which is energy, which is feeling.
If we’re talking about sensual touch and pleasure, we have to understand that it’s easy to touch a body, for 2 bodies to meet in some way.
And how that’s just the surface.
For 2 nervous systems to connect, which is one of the elements without which we can’t go deeper.
For 2 hearts to connect, regardless of the context of the experience, without which we can’t go deeper.
Which is energy and feeling, emotion and presence, intimacy and vulnerability.
If we’re talking about sensual touch and pleasure message, we have to have an awareness of not only what’s happening in the experience, and what happens afterwards.
Pleasure is sensation, energy, feeling.
Orgasm is sensation, energy, feeling.
These states open us. Firstly physically, by being deeply relaxed, by being nude, by being touched.
This is what opens us emotionally.
This is what releases energy and emotion sitting in the body, hurts, blockages, contractions, tension.
A short digression.
A woman who has been exploring her sexuality for a while now, and has had a range of experiences, shared this with me.
She went somewhere different for an erotic massage experience. Her energy can come up to a high state.
As it started to rise and move in her body, as it became more orgasmic, this person was trying to control it instead of allowing it. What this did was actually block it rather than enhance it.
If we don’t understand energy, the connection between the body and energy, how energy moves, we can’t go beyond the physical.
There are so many levels of pleasure, of sensation, of sensuality, of sexuality.
Without knowing a little more than the body, the experiences we have touch the surface.
They’re a little relaxing, if they go to orgasm, there’s a release.
And there are so many of us who are happy with that.
Often because we don’t know what else there is, what’s possible.
Just the body is just the beginning.
If the touch we’re giving or receiving is just the body, so much of who we are shuts down, hides away.
On every workshop I talk about how touch is a language, a conversation with the body. A silent conversation that something inside of us hears. Our touch communicates our intention.
Where inside of me is my touch coming from, that’s what your body, your heart, respond to.
BTW, our sexual experiences, the same.
The world of sensual touch, erotic touch, pleasure massage, is literally limitless.
If we’re open and willing, every experience, wherever it’s going, has so much for us, and happens on so many levels.
The awareness is what allows us to go deep, to go high.
To keep learning, exploring, discovering, experiencing.
