Welcoming Yoni

On the weekend we shared a G-Spot Massage webinar, which, by the way, was a fantastic event.

At the end of it we have time for questions and comments, and someone said something that’s been on my mind for a while. I actually started writing something about it, it wasn’t quite there yet.

‘It was as if her Yoni was drawing your fingers in, taking them deep and stronger on her own.’

Penetration, and other experiences is so often done to women.

Your Yoni is alive, vital, with energy, with desire.

Your Yoni is not inert, not just this tube of flesh to be penetrated.

Your Yoni has become still, she’s become silent.

And in many ways, she’s become used.

There’s a life force within her, a voice, a strength.

And there’s a time, when she awakens, that she becomes more active in pleasure, in life.

She’s not just penetrated, she welcomes you, she draws you in, out of her desire.

Part of the journey of sexual healing, sexual learning, sexual awakening, sexual growing, is the relationship we have with her.

For so many women this relationship has been based on shame and guilt.

It’s been based on a disconnect that’s taken her voice, her power away.

It’s made her passive.

She has a voice, at times so soft, subtle and tender, at times a roar of fire.

She has a wisdom, the wisdom of the body, the wisdom of life.

And in her silence we can’t hear this voice.

In the disconnect we can’t hear this voice.

As the relationship with Yoni grows in awareness, we begin to hear the voice.

To feel the aliveness within her, the pulse of life.

And in this, she reaches out for you, she welcomes you, she opens for you, she draws you in, she calls to you.

In her time, in her way.

As a lover of Yoni, it takes time to hear her voice, it takes a sensitive ear, the ear of the body, the ear of the heart.

There’s a practice for women, of reaching into your body, from your throat, from your heart, from your belly, through the depths of your Yoni, to her opening.

And to draw your lover in.

To feel, from a place deep inside your body, that welcomes your lover in.

Not from contraction, not from squeezing, but from opening.

There’s a practice for men, of pausing at the entrance to the temple.

Of taking a breath, of listening to her body, with patience.

And slowly, as she opens, you allow that to draw you in.

There’s a dance here, the dance of pleasure.

Ancient.

The dance of life expressed in our union.

All of life is this penetration, this opening, this receiving, this moving into space.

This mystery that draws us to each other, again and again, to dissolve in each other.

From this gentleness the fire, if it’s there, can grow.

For every time you enter the temple, the prayer is different.

Sometimes it’s a prayer that is slow, soft, a murmur that the deepest parts of us hear.

Sometimes it’s a rhythm, a dance, now fast, now slow, a laughter, a celebration.

Sometimes it’s a fire that burns us to spent bodies, gasping for air as the flames dissipate.

And in all of these it’s a conversation.

A conversation of pleasure.

A conversation of possibility.

That begins with being welcomed in.
